| We are a general practice law firm based in northern Erie County, near Buffalo, New York, serving Western New York in person, and the world online. We represent clients in town courts throughout Western New York. To hire us as your attorney, please click "Our Client Form" above. We offer two package deals: Our Small Claims Package: For the mandatory initial consultation fee of $20 (which is charged of all clients), we will include: a personalized worksheet that we will prepare with you outlining the important facts for your matter, a sample script for you to help organize your small claims case presentation and not only get the evidence you want into the court's record, but also convince the court that it is reliable, written advice on effective cross-examination of the opposing party that you can refer to and take with you to your hearing, and for certain courts, we will provide the forms you need to start your case and help you fill them out to save you time at the courthouse. For an additional, optional fee of $30, we will rehearse your presentation and provide advice on it for up to 30 minutes, and we will file your small claims matter for the additional applicable court filing fee if you would like. Additional time is available at a discounted hourly rate of $80 an hour, billable in one-tenth of an hour increments. Our Incorporation and Business Protection Package: For a corporation, we offer incorporation and S-corporation election (which enables the corporation's income to be taxed as income direct to its shareholders and is often chosen for tax reasons) if you prefer for $250. Professional corporations will have an additional cost of $10 added, required by the Department of State, for getting a certified copy of your incorporating documents to file with the licensing authority, as well as any filing fee (if required) by the licensing authority. For a LLC, we offer incorporation for $350. The publication requirement, which will cost a significant amount of money to satisfy, is not included with this. We will arrange it for you at the cost charged by the newspaper publishers to us, with no "mark-up" over what they charge. For a partnership, we offer drafting and advice on your partnership agreement—the contract governing your new business—for $500. Included with all incorporation packages is our calendaring the important required filings for your business, and advising you of them in advance, to ensure you do not miss deadlines and have penalties.
