We advocate for fair DUI laws, with two main concerns:

1. Protect the innocent

DUI laws and the prosecution system are tilted so heavily against defendants that many innocent drivers face difficult choices.

2. Sensible approach for first-time offenders

The current focus on punishment is excessive with first-time offenders. We do not need to make the penalties harsher. FairDUI.org argues for a focus on educating first time offenders, rather than punishing.
