County Court
County Court is a common term people use in searches when they're looking for information about local courts. However, in many places County Court is the wrong phrase. Different states use different terms.
For example, lower courts in New York State are called town court, village court or city court, though felonies are handled in County Court in most counties.
New Jersey uses Municipal Courts. California courts are all known as "Superior Court."
Virginia has the General District Court and the Circuit Court.
