About the area |
The Pittsburgh metropolitan area is home of a lovely city located in Beaver County, which shares frontiers with Harmony Township, Ambridge, Baden, South Heights, and Conway boroughs. Incorporated back in the late 19th century, this municipality was named after Queen Aliquippa (member of the Seneca Indian tribe), and has an estimated population of 11300 inhabitants. Its very interesting to notice that 1/10 of Aliquippa residents report German ancestry and 1/10 report Irish ancestry, when most of the ancestries influences shows a very strong Italian influence back during the settlement days. |
