The Belle Mont Mansion built around the 1820's is an example of the neoclassical architecture of Jeffersonian-Palladian style and is continually undergoing restoration. This brick edifice with contrasting wood trim has a U-shaped floor plan set around a courtyard. Tuscumbia's Spring Park has a large spring forming a lake which supplies the city's drinking water; and facilities which include a two story open air shelter, several single story shelters, barbeque grills and a large playground area as well as two wonderful sights. The park's Cold Water Falls is the world's largest man-made natural stone waterfall. About 4,320,000 gallons of water pass over the falls each day. The Memorial Water fountain, dedicated to the memory of Princess Im-Mi-Ah-Key the wife of Chief Tuscumbia, is located inside the creek, which runs through the park. Fifty-one jets, which are choreographed to lights and music, make up the fountain.
