The Peel Mansion & Heritage gardens are representative of the period around 1875 when the home, of Italianate Villa Style, was erected. Although the home does not hold the original furnishings it has been furnished with authentic antiques and artifacts of the era. The facilyt is available for weddinga and similar events. Visit the Compton Gardens and you will see over six acres of native woodland plants, walking trails and prairie on the grounds of a home of a doctor who was instrumental in the the effort to protect the Buffalo River.
