The Pink Tomato Festival, based on the fact that the tomato farmers in Bradley County since the 1920's have chosen a variety that would ship well if picked when the tops of the fruit just barely turned pink, is held in Warren each year during the second week in June. Close to 30,000 attend this week long festival each year which of course has an All-Tomato luncheon and street dance and the Tomato Eating contest. Other happenings at this event are the arts & crafts show, Festival parade, 5K Race, and the Pink Tomato golf tournament. Activities for the kids, a small carnival and live music are also included. |
