About the area |
There are two major events in Corning each year. The Fourth of July is celebrated in this city with a a parade, picnic, games, a beauty pageant, a fireworks display and what is unusual for this holiday event anywhere, a Ford truck give away. In late October the annual Harvest Festival is held at Wynn park. There are agricultural business exhibits; antique farm machinery and equipment demonstrations including a one-row cotton picker, shingle mill, grain thresher and gas engines; an antique car show; children's activities, and live entertainment all day long. |
