Arkansas State University is probably the main center for the cultural and entertainment experiences of many people in this city. This institution is made up of eleven colleges and 12 units in which undergraduate degrees as well 23 master's degree programs are offered. The Fowler Center, of the university, produces professional and Arkansas State University Theater department performances each year. The Arkansas State University museum has permanent exhibits related to the Arkansas Frontier, the Crowley's Ridge Mastodon, earthquakes, Living Off The Land, military items, Native Americans, natural history, Old Town Arkansas and a Walk Through Time as well as the Mary Stack Gallery, online exhibits and various temporary exhibits.
