About the area |
The largest largest man-made game and fish commission lake in the United States is right here. It is fed from Stone Dam Creek, Gold Creek, Palarm Creek, Little Cypress Creek and Panther Creek and covers over 6,500 acres, is about eight miles long with close to 52 miles of shoreline. It is stocked with bass, catfish, bream and crappie and should be a great place for fisherman to visit. There are free public launch areas which are maintained by the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission; but if you do not have your own, commercial docks have boats available for rent. |
