About the area |
The old railroad depot on Fourth Avenue, which is listed on the National Registry of Historical Places, is the home of the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Historical museum. This small building holds an awful lot. Their displays include a duck hunting display, a large doll collection, miniature houses, bow and arrows, over 1,400 miniature glass slippers and a roomful of military artifacts. Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame which traces the careers of Arkansas' sons and daughters who have made their mark on the entertainment world, the Arkansas Railroad museum which houses Engine 819 and restored passenger cars, cabooses and baggage cars and the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas which has galleries of art and sculpture and offers interactive science exhibits and light-hearted musical and drama productions.
