About the area |
The Marianna/Lee County museum is located on the second floor of the building constructed for the Elk's club. Its exhibits display such items as a general store, parlor and kitchen, cotton farming implements and Civil War and World War II artifacts. You can also see on display some unusual items including a kerosene powered iron and a 500 pound cast iron hog scald. In case you did not know; a scald is an implement used to treat a hide to remove the hair. |
