To the Northeast of Little River there is a great outdoor recreational spot, Millwood lake. its a place with lots off room for boating, fishing, swimming, picnicking or hiking. There are recreational areas around the lake with boat ramps, campgrounds, picnic shelters and a designated swim area. This a natural area and you might into one of the alligators that makes its home in the area. Over 300 species of birds have been seen in the area. White pelicans make their home year-round on the lake and occasionally you will see Bald Eagles, Golden-winged Warblers, Gulls and several species of ducks. |
