About the area |
This city sits in two states, Texas and Arkansas. The Texarkana Symphony orchestra give most of its performances in Perot theater. Its performances usually are the presentation of a series of masterworks concerts, an annual Christmas family concert, a Black History Month concert and a Creepy Classics Halloween concert. The latter also includes the Youth Symphony which was founded by the Symphony orchestra. Texarkana, Arkansas has 12 city parks. One of them, Bobby Ferguson park, is adjacent to the
Four States Fair grounds. It is at this this site that the annual Four States fair and rodeo is held each September. One other enjoyable event is held in the downtown area here each October, the Annual Downtown Blues and BBQ. |
