About the area |
The Caddo river runs through Glenwood. The city was funded around 1909. However the ciyt's roigins ca be traced bac to the construction of the Gurdon and Fort Smith railroad. Around 1907, the Caddo River Lumber Company built a large mill at Rosboro and a few more companies moved near a railroad depot in the town. With new mills under construction and the railroad in operation, two businessmen, laid out the town Glenwood on both sides of the depot. The town grew in leaps and bounds. |
