DeValls Bluff Circuit Court is also known as the Southern District branch of the Seventeenth Circuit Court of Prairie county in the Arkansas Judicial Circuit court system. It has the same clerk, mailing address, phone number, fax number and is located in the same building as the Southern District branch of the Prairie County court. Period re-enactors providing a glimpse of life in the South during the Civil War and living historians who present programs on the grounds of the Prairie County Community center in DeValls Bluff are main features of the annual Fort Lincoln Freedom Fest which takes place on a late weekend in April at this facility. Visitors to this event will be able to fire a period musket, try their hand at rock climbing and watch as cannon provide a firing display also on the grounds of the center. The fest also has Civil War exhibits, food and live entertainment. Tours to Fort Lincoln are given throughout the day. |
