About the area |
Beebe was named after an executive of the Cairo and Fulton railroad and incorporated around 1875. Friday nights from mid-March until mid-September, the Beebe Speedway's dirt oval is the scene of races for modifieds, street and hobby stocks, mini-stocks and special racing series. This is the city where two years in a row, New Years eve of 2011 and 2012, first thousands and then the following year dozens of dead red-winged blackbirds fell from the sky. |
