About the area |
Dardanelle is located on the shores of the Arkansas River. It was one of the river ports where early settlers to the region disembarked to start a new life. The annual Yell Fest is held at the beginning of May at Veteran's River Front park. Things happening at this event include a carnival, 5K run, craft booths, food booths, an antique car show, ugly dog contest, fireworks, horseshoe tournament, rock wall, local musical entertainment and where would the festival be without a yelling contest. |
