It snows in Truckee and because of the snow it is a winter hot spot. AS thumb rule goes if a place can be fun in winters, then it is all the more fun in summers. So donâ€™t worry when you are in the city because you will always find a good sport. Just keep in touch with the weather department though so that you can be prepared. Donner Lake and the Donner Memorial State Park are also nice places to visit.
Those who know area history may find the Donner story a bit unsettling. Unless your name is Hannibal.
