Broward Court felonies are heard in Room 160, while misdemeanors, speeding tickets, and other lesser infractions are heard in County Court, Room 130. They have civil cases too, but that's not the focus of this website. State funding for the Broward traffic court magistrate program is up in the air, as of September 2009. A change could slam the criminal court, as the magistrates hear 150,000 cases a year!! Maybe they should just write fewer speeding tickets? Broward Circuit Court is also in the Broward County courthouse. |
