About the area

Bartow was settled in the 1850's. It was the site of the South Florida Military Academy which was later integrated into the University of Florida. If a round of golf is your pleasure you can try the nearby Bartow Golf course. You don't have to worry if you are taken ill; the Bartow Regional Medical Center is located a short distance North on Broadway avenue.
