Adel Circuit Court

Serving as the district court of Dallas county, Adel Circuit Court is in the Fifth judicial district of Iowa. US 169 runs down the length of Dallas county and on the way meets with SR 141 in the Northern part of the county and IS 80 and US 6 in the Southern part.

This town which ha been around since 1847 has something not too often seen in cities nowadays; a downtown with brick paved streets. Although the city still clings to the old days with its annual Sweet Corn festival and the Brick Street Classic Car show; it looks ahead by adding facilities for the enjoyment of its residents such as the new Family Aquatic center. The city continues to move into the future with the erection of structures such as the new Community stage and pavilion for the production of concerts and community gatherings. Although quilters and wine lovers may not have much in common they do have two events to attend here; the annual Little Sister’s Outdoor Quilt show and auction in June and also in June the All Iowa Wine festival where you can sample products of the local wineries and listen to live music.
