Bloomfield District Court

Bloomfield District Court is the district court of Davis county in the Eighth judicial district of Iowa. The two major roads in Davis county, US 63 and SR2 meet in Bloomfield.

If you like that kind of stuff come to the McGowen Recreation and Wildlife area where there is a variety of game and the ponds are stocked with bluegill, large mouth bass, catfish and red-ear sunfish. The Davis County Museum Complex And Historic Country Church in Bloomfield consists of the Dr. William Findley home, circa 1844, which is also a museum, a Mormon, hand-hewn log cabin, a one-room schoolhouse, country church and a livery barn. There is also a mural here which is a picture of the battle of Athens during the Civil War. The Mutchler Community center besides being a gathering place for community events has a cardio room. Some entertaining events to attend in the Summer and Fall are the Fort Bloomfield Family rodeo, Fort Bloomfield rodeo, Davis County fair and the Davis County Country and Old Time Music festival.
