Marengo District Court

Marengo District Court is where you will find the district court of Iowa county. It is located in the Sixth judicial district of Iowa. You will find traveling through Iowa county easy if you use IS 80, US 6. US 151, SR 149, SR 212 or SR 220.

The organization of Iowa county took place between the year of 1845 and !846. In Marengo you can take a walk on one of a number of trails through the city's parks or do some fishing and hunting along the Iowa River to enjoy yourself. If you stroll along the banks of the Iowa river, you can usually spot bald eagles, hawks, songbirds, amphibians, reptiles, butterflies, dragonflies and the beautiful wildflowers lying along the trails. The city also has a municipal swimming pool to help residents prevent a melt down in the Summer months. The county maintains two parks, Gateway Park and Preserve and Arboretum with a boat ramp to the Iowa River, a lake forty acres in size and twelve acres of pond for fishing and Iowa Lake park which has a lake for fishing close to 100 acres in size, picnic areas, over 120 rocked pads for camping, a beach and swimming area and hiking trails.
