Nampa Magistrate Court

Nampa Magistrate Court is the magistrate court of Canyon county in the Third judicial district of Idaho. Canyon county has several major roads going through it; IS 84, SR 19, SR 44, SR 45 and SR 55.

Nampa was one of the cities formed around 1883 along the Oregon Short Line railway from Granger, Wyoming to Huntington, Oregon. After a family of settlers homesteaded on land East of caldwell to create a town they formed the Nampa Land and Improvement company and divided the property into lots. The Nampa Train Depot museum is located in the depot that served this city beginning in 1903. The exhibits in the museum are related to Nampa Railroad History and display antique dolls, rodeo artifacts, mustache cups, two working train sets, a collection of locks and keys and hand crafted wooden train models made by a Nampa artist. The Brandt auditorium in the city's Civic center is the site of performing arts events, speaking engagements, concerts and dance recitals. There is also a beautiful garden at the center. Nampa is home to 25 municipal parks. These parks offer all kinds of recreational amenities. Two of these parks have disc golf courses. Lakeview park has an amphitheater for outdoor performances. Two have swimming pools and many have basketball courts and baseball fields.
