Moscow District Court

Moscow District Court is the Idaho Second judicial court of Latah county. Located in the same building as this court is the Latah County Magistrate court. Major roads found in this county are US 95, SR 8 and SR 99.

There are many things pleasant to the eye and ear in Moscow. Each year the city presents a series of Summer concerts in East City park held every Thursday evening from June through August. Not to be outdone, the Palouse Choral society puts on concerts from October through May in several cities in the region as well as in Moscow. Two great musical festivals take place in this city; the Lionel Hampton Jazz festival held each February at the University of Idaho and the annual Rendezvous in the Park music festival held at East City Park in July. The University of Idaho's Dance department puts on two performances a year in their 400 seat Hartung theatre, one in the Fall and one in the Spring. The the Appaloosa museum is dedicated to this spotted breed of horses. The exhibits here deal with the spotted horses in art and literature, the relationship between the Appaloosa and the Nez Perce Indians and highlights of the modern Appaloosa Horse Club. The mission of this museum is to present the history of this horse, its place in the present day and the future of the breed. Visit the McConnell mansion, circa 1866, to see one of the fine examples of Victorian architecture in a home. It was built by Idaho's third governor and the city's outstanding merchant.
