Elizabethtown is the county seat of this county located south Gallatin County and north Livingston County in Kentucky State, established back in the late 1840s. According to the census, this territory has an estimated population of 4800 people (95% White Non Hispanic and the rest corresponding to small African American, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander, and other races groups). Around 2000 households, and close to 1400 families on a community divided in three cities and two designated places for a total area of 182 square miles of extension, have approximately 1/3 of the inhabitants of Hardin County dealing with extreme poverty due the lack of employment and a median income of less than $28000. |
