About the area

Hill City has three parks for the enjoyment of its residents including one which is the site of the community pool. For some indoor enjoyment, a visit to the Graham County Historical Society Museum or the Hill City Oil Museum is great. The historical museum has a military room, vintage clothing exhibits, quilts, photos of early day Graham County and a number of items donated or loaned to Graham County Historical Society. The oil museum has displays that are the story of oil exploration and mining in Graham County and northwest Kansas. There are also models and examples of the equipment used and the outside appearence of the museum is quite unusual, it is located under an oil derrick from an earlier day.
