Daniel Boone once camped in Owsley very close to the Moores Station. For some times this place was called Boone’s Station. However there is more to the city than just some historic statistical data. Most of the buildings are ancient and in good shape. The city takes extra efforts to preserve its historic health and wealth. Even passing by the court house will let you know the grandeur with which they were built.
