About the area

Hazard is famous for the old Log Fort that was built by Elijah Combs for his second wife. It is located on the Kentucky River at the North Folk. People say it is haunted by the first wife. But whatever the fact may be the city of Hazard was founded by him and still proudly stands on the banks of the river.
