About the area
This wonderful community with an estimated population of 8150 inhabitants is known as the "Jambalaya Capital of the World" and it is the proud host of the annual Jambalaya Festival. Nested between Baton Rouge and New Orleans, this son of Louisiana is the proud neighbor of Sorrento, Port Vincent, French Settlement, Donaldsonville, St Gabriel, Old Jefferson, Village St George, and Shenandoah. With a total extension of almost 8.5 square miles, this land settled in the 1850s is dedicated to construction, chemicals, health care, and educational services industries.
