Funky names abound in Frederick, from Monocacy Village, Monoarch Ridge, and Tuscarora Creek. Fort Detrick occupies a big chunk of the area. Mountain ridges run along the western edge, growing as you go north. Frederick is also home to one of the hottest green industries -- solar power. Important roads have met here for centuries.
