About the area

Wiscasset has its own Municipal Airport. If you have one of those small airplanes you are welcome to land on the airport's runway which is approximately 3,400 feet of paved surface. Might a good way to come to the Lincoln County Fair and Carnival which is held each JUly at the Wiscasset raceway. Or you might want to take a twilight tour during July and August of two early 19th century mansions. The Castle Tucker tour includes rooms not usually open to the public and at the Nickels-Sortwell House, you can see additional rooms used by the Sortwell family.
