| About the area |
Jackson is a small city in population and area with agriculture as a significant part of the economy. A new industrial park, occupying more than 200 acres, and several private and industrial employers have added to the economic base. In addition many jobs have been added in the retail and service based businesses. The city is proud of its municipal airport to the North which has runways over 3500 and 2200 feet in lenght. The airport can support turbo props and private jets and several charters operate out of here. There's room for fun here too; try the 9-hole "Jackson" course at the Jackson Golf Club facility which offers over 6,500 yards of golf from the longest tees. |
