This city of about 15,000 is located on the large Buffalo lake, Mink lake lies just a little bit further to the South and Pulaski lake to the Northwest. Different venues in the city provide entertainment for young and old alike. In May, the Civic center is the scene of the The George Carden Super circus. Lovers of Country, Rock, Gospel, Blugrass or Celtic music will be in their element during the concerts on Thursday nights at Sturges park from Mid June to late August. The spectacular event in Buffalo is an 8 days celebration, held in June, called Buffalo Days. With a classic car show, fly in breakfast, craft show, children's events, concerts in the park, pool and cribbage tournaments, a fireworks display and a parade. The finishing touch is a 5k run. |
