Yellow Medicine County District Court is the official name for the Yellow Medicine County Court. The county is long and narrow and US Hways 59, 75 and 212 and SR’s 23, 67 and 68 run for long distances. |
| About the area |
The Minnesota river runs along Granite Falls and separates the county from Chippewa county. The Granite Falls Municipal Airport/Lenzen-Roe Memorial Field is located about 4 miles South of the city and has a single runway about 4400 feet in lenght. It is publicly owned by the city and is open one and all; at least if you have a small aircraft even a jet. About three miles south of Granite Falls on Highway 23 there's a place to which the gamblers flock, the Prairie's Edge Casino Resort owned and operated by the Upper Sioux Community. The resort has over 80 luxurious hotel rooms and suites and offers 24-hour gaming action. This is probably the place where some of the folks landing at the airport are headed. |
