Mexico Circuit Court

Mexico Circuit Court is the circuit court of Audrain County in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit of the Missouri Circuit court system. Hearings for city ordinance and traffic violations in the cities of Farber (US 54 and SR AA), Laddonia (US 54 and SR K) and Rush Hill (SR B) are held in this court.

The Audrain County Historical Society is located within Robert S. Green park. The antebellum mansion circa 1857, which is listed on the National Registry of Historical Places, is the Graceland Museum also located in the park. Several of Graceland's rooms are furnished in a manner and display items representative of Victorian elegance of the past as well as the rich history of the country. Mexico at one time was known as the 'Saddlebred Horse Capital of the World". As an out growth of this the American Saddlebred Horse Museum was established in the park in the 1970's and has an extensive collection of saddlehorse memorabilia. The The Country School built around 1903 is also located here and has a slate backboard, desks, schoolbooks, photos, and an extensive collection of rural school histories and records. The Country Church, built towards the end of the 1880's, was relocated to the park and features the original theater-style seating. As a memorial to the significance of the "Fire Brick" industry in Audrain County; the Fire Brick Museum was added to the museum complex in this park.
