Lamar Circuit Court is the circuit court of Barton County in the Twenty-Eighth Judicial Circuit of the Missouri Circuit court system. Hearings for city ordinance and traffic violations in the cities of Liberal (SR K) and Mindenmines (US 160) are held in this court.

About the area

Whereas Lamar considers Harry S. Truman their hometown hero; they annually celebrate his birth during Truman Days in May. This event brings vendors, organizations and shops running sidewalk sales at the city square. During this celebration you can visit his birthplace, which is a state historic site, for re-enactments, games, and contests. There is also a birthday cake cutting, food and a car show.
