About the area

The city was named after a woman who lived in the area of the town before its incorporation and who collected mail for the residents of the area from the railroad drop-off. When the town was incorporated the citizens decided to honor her in naming the town. Citizens can enjoy the Williamson park walking track or just relax on one of the benches recently installed in the park.
