Unionville Circuit Court is the circuit court of Putnam County in the Third Judicial Circuit of the Missouri Circuit court system. Hearings of city ordinances and traffic violations in the city of Unionville are heard in this court. US 136 and SR 5 meet in Unionville and SR 129 is located just to the East.

About the area

Lake Thunderhead is a private recreation lake just North of Unionville. Camping sites are available here and facilities include a marina, with some fishing and boating equipment, and restaurant. Wild turkey, deer, pheasant, ducks, geese, quail, bald eagles, pelicans and other species of birds are some of the wildlife which can be seen here. The lake is stocked with bass, crappie, walleye, bluegill and catfish. There are so many events at the annual Putnam County Fair held in September that you will not know which one to see first. One of the most enjoyable fun events is the Kiddie Pedal Tractor pull. The kids are very serious about this one. There are a lot of livestock and produce shows and competitions. No matter which way you turn you will be treated to live musical entertainment and will be able to choose from the many culinary delights.
