The formal name of the Fallon County Court is the Fallon County District Court and it is in the Sixteenth judicial district of Momtana.

About the area

At the beginning of its formation, Fallon county seemed to be an ever changing entity. Around 1913 folks who had come to this area of Eastern Montana, after the arrival of the Milwaukee railroad, elected to split from Custer County to form Fallon County. However, more changes were in its future; soon after Fallon split to form Carter County to the South and in succeeding years lost areas to help establish Wibaux and Prairie Counties. The annual Fallon County Fair in August features a carnival, live entertainment, a Professional Rodeo Cowboys association rodeo, Motor mania, a variety show, Pet parade and lots of food and live music.
