You would be surprised to find the many different kinds of fish which swim in Fort Peck Reservoir, Montana's largest body of water. Most anglers go for the walleye, northern pike, paddlefish, sauger, lake trout, small mouth bass and chinook salmon. The reservoir was created during the years 1933 to 1937 by the close to 4 mile-long dam across the Missouri River. Access to the reservoir is available at Fort Peck Marina, located near the West side of the dam. The Fort Peck Summer theatre presents a series of dramatic and musical productions at the Fort Peck Theatre, circa 1934, from May to Labor day. The Theatre itself is on the National Register of Historic Places. |
