Neighbor of Georgia and Tennesse States, Cherokee County is a very beautiful and magic territory framed by rives, mountains, creeks, streams, and lakes. The border lines of this land founded during the third decade of the 19th century are given by territories of Graham, Macon, Clay, Fannin (GA), Union (GA), Polk (TN), and Monroe (TN) Counties. This community keeps itself in touch with its roots with the Eastern Cherokee Indian Reservation and protects the beauty of the Nantahala National Forest and the Hiawassee River for future generations. With a total extension of almost 500 square miles, this community has a very remarkable transportation system connecting this land with Georgia and Tennessee States by the US 64 which is the longest highway in North Carolina, US 74 which connects four major cities including Charlotte, and US 19 and US 129 both of which pass through this county connecting portions of Atlanta and the northern part of Knoxville City.
