About the area

This community founded back in the 1710s by territories of Craven Counties, was named after Jones of Halifax, a leader of the leaders of the Revolution. When you come to this territory, you will find only a very few lights, but plenty of smiles welcoming you into Jones County; which is located two hours away from the state capital. Trenton is the county seat of this land member of the regional Eastern Carolina Council of Governments divided into seven townships and three towns; all of them sharing frontiers with Craven, Carteret, Onslow, Duplin, and Lenoir Counties.
