Towner District Court might be recognized by some as the district court of McHenry county which is North Dakota's Northeast judicial district.

About the area

At one time McHenry county was part of Buffalo county but was broken away and established around 1873. McHenry county has it all; agriculture, cattle, natural resources and the attraction of many hunting, fishing and birding opportunities. For example Buffalo Lodge lake has great Northern Pike fishing in both Summer and Winter and and Round and Lakes are where they bring in Walleye and Perch Summer and Winter.
