A group of areas in this county are known as the Several Natural Wonders of Ransom County. THey are the Sheyenne National Grasslands, Nature Conservancy of Sheyenne Delta, Sheyenne state forest, Fort Ransom State park, North County trail, Sheyenne River Valley National Scenic byway and Dead Colt creek. Each has their distinctive features and are worth visiting. The city of Lisbon has its own places for outdoor recreation. Sandager park has lots of things to do; tennis, basketball, volleyball, a junior olympic size outdoor swimming pool, roller skating at the old pavilion, horseshoe pits, group picnic shelters, goofy golf, children’s playground, fully equipped campgrounds, lighted baseball diamond and football field and a skateboard park. |
