If you are looking for the county court (Box 146) or the district court (Box 126) look no further. they are both in the Arthur County courthouse and are each in their respective Eleventh judicial district of Nebraska. SR 61 coming in the North and SR 92 coming from the East meet in the city of Arthur before proceeding together to the South of Arthur county.

| About the area |
Although the boundaries of Arthur county were established around 1887 it was not until 1913 that recognition of the county was formally accepted. This occurred because of the jurisdiction of McPherson county over the county until the Nebraska legislature authorized the organization of Arthur county. Although at one time there were almost 2,500 people in Arthur; the present day population is under 120. The Old Arthur County courthouse was built when the county was formally organized and although no longer in use remains standing behind the present courthouse.
