If you are looking for the county court or the district court, go to the Hooker County courthouse you will find them both there. They are each in their respective Eleventh judicial district of Nebraska. Of the two major roads in Hooker county, SR 2 runs through the Northern part of the county where it meets SR 07 at Mullen.

One year after the railroad lines included a depot in a boxcar around 1887, the town of Mullen was established at the site. They may not have much in Mullen but they do have a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design golf course and two other courses as well. If you are not playing stop in the Hooker County Historical museum for an interesting afternoon. The museum was first located in a building that had been a cafe, cream station, grocery store, liquor store and family apartment but has since been established in what was the Ham's hotel. The building consists of three stories of rooms with a large collection of artifacts representing the history of Hooker county. A photographic collection of Hooker County veterans, honored men and women from the Civil War up to the present time, is displayed on the hallway walls.
