In the Stanton County courthouse you will find the county court and the district court each of which is in their respective Seventh judicial district of Nebraska. Us 275 cuts across the Northern part of Stanton County and meets SR 15, SR 24 and SR 57. SR 32 passes through the Southern part of the county while
SR 35 cuts across the Northwest corner of the county.

| About the area |
In this county, first known as Izard county until changed around 1862 to Stanton, the first permanent settlement on Humbug Creek around 1865. Soon afterwards settlers began arriving from Indiana and Wisconsin. The first post office in the town of Stanton was established around 1867 at a place known as Botorff farm and was named "Pleasant Run. About three years later a town was laid out and by 1875 a mail and stage line was making regular runs through the area. when the railroad annoucced plans to come through the area a number of businesses were started and the town name was changed to Stanton.
Picnic shelters, playground equipment, basketball courts, tennis courts, a swimming pool and a sand volleyball court are available in West City and East City parks.
