About the area |
The Village of Alfred is within the Town of Alfred. The area was called Kanakadea by the inhabitants who proceeded the Europeans (is that politically correct enough for you?). It's a hilly area in one of the poorest counties in the state - that's an open competition with a lot of struggling counties in upstate New York. |
